  I had to be back to Montevideo for the third time this year for business and instead of the Sheraton, my last stay, I was given the Sofitel, that I already knew but where I stayed for the first time. Very important to understand that the clientèle going to hotels with casinos can be slightly or even very problematic, especially when you don’t gamble and I don’t. I say that because my Xmas and New Year were ruined at the Radisson Montevideo and its casino, as well as that hotel’s type of client and its elusive and ineffective management. I was amazingly surprised at the Sofitel. Maybe because the place is expensive, but worth every cent of your money, what I saw was an extremely organized place and top notch kind of guest. Their casino is beautiful, yet not of my interest, because like I said before, I do not gamble. My overall impression of the Sofitel is exquisite! Very luxurious and with quite a high standard for guests. Unlike many hotels in Uruguay, the quality was beyond expectations and the inner atmosphere was very cozy and refined. I still think the Sheraton is a great choice but because I am very used to their chain worldwide, anyway...the Sofitel has absolutely nothing to be desired and the view of the river from my suite was incredible. If you can pay their price, even without gambling, give it a try! I was amazed.

  O hotel funciona em um prédio antigo que hoje é patrimônio histórico de Montevidéu. Foi reformado e hoje está sob a administração do grupo Accor, sofitel. Conta ainda com Casino e SPA. O atendimento é excelente, com o pessoal orgulhoso por trabalhar ali. O charme fica por conta da arquitetura... a decoração e a limpeza o deixam muito confortável. O restaurante é francês e por conta disso, tem um croissant dos deuses, além de macarons deliciosos.

  It was amazing. We had lots of fun in the pool, and bringing the pets with us. I will love to come back here again

  This place is amazing. I loved everything about it, it had a great pool and spa. I didn't find any other hotels that were pet friendly and this one is! I'm so happy with my visit. Sure to come again!
